Cloudpaging Player 9.4.4 has been released. The latest version of Cloudpaging Player is compatible with Cloudpaging Server versions 9.3.X and higher, with support for all Cloudpaging appset versions.
What does Cloudpaging 9.4.4. offer?
Enhanced Prefetch
For those unfamiliar, Cloudpaging breaks applications down into instructions fragments titled “pages”. Our Prefetch feature identifies and captures the “pages” of an application required for the initial launch of an application, which is typically less than 10 percent of an application. Prefetch prioritizes the delivery of the “pages” required for the initial launch of an application, accelerating launch times between 20x to 100x.
Cloudpaging Player 9.4.4 increases the number of prefetch blocks that will be downloaded at once in Group Policy Objects. With this release, the number of blocks fetched at once by default has increased 200%. While performance improvements rely on a number variables, this could help further accelerate application launch times across your organization.
Plenty of Squashed Bugs
As always, our engineering team worked hard to squash as many bugs as possible, including a Windows 11 bug that caused blank icons to appear on pinned shortcuts. For more in-depth insights into the bugs squashed this release, check out the release notes included with the Cloudpaging Player 9.4.4 installer available at download.numecent.com.
