Today we released Cloudpaging Server 9.6. The latest updates feature enhancements to Active Directory integration, our suite of APIs, and Cloudpaging Server prerequisites and runtime. This blog will outline the latest updates and what it means for prospects and customers alike.
Active Directory Enhancements
Our approach to technology is centered on simplifying the mobilization and management of Windows applications across modern desktop and hybrid/multi-cloud environments. With the latest release of Cloudpaging Server, we’ve expanded Active Directory support.
Administrators can now choose to authenticate users with either Active Directory principal or local admin users. You can now seamlessly provide administrative access to Active Directory and local users alike.
Setting authentication controls is as simple as selecting your preference from a drop-down menu.
Note: If Active Directory integration is not configured, then the drop down will not be displayed.
Update Prerequisites and Runtime
Security is of the upmost importance at Numecent. As part of this update we updated and upgrade all prerequisites and third-party libraries that recently released security patches. We’re committed to ensuring our products and services are always up-to-date and continue to deliver the high level of security and performance you expect.
Aside from slight performance gains, these changes will not impact to the user experience.
API Improvements
We’ve made some major improvements and added support to our Server Web Services APIs. This enables you to utilize the Web Service API to check whether an application has successfully been published to all your paging servers.
This release also adds additional API support for the extended License Policy attributes added during the Cloudpaging Server 9.4 release. These features were already available in the UI, but can now be utilized via APIs, greatly expanding upon the utility of scripting and third-party integrations.
For those with automated packaging pipelines, Cloudpaging Server admins no longer need to set these parameters manually through the UI. They can utilize the APIs to automate the configuration of paging sources, parameters passed into configurable app events (CAEs), and setting the command line for applications.
